Determinant of Perception Factors in People Living with HIV/AIDS (Plwha) with the Attitude of Preventing Opportunistic Infections

HIV and AIDS are worldwide health concerns. Opportunistic infections brought on by a weakened immune system the introduction of germs (bacteria, fungi, viruses) into body. Infections (OIs) can cause death in >90% patients. The objective this research is to identify perception factors associated with positive attitude toward preventing opportunistic people living HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This was an analytical study applying cross-sectional design quantitative approaches. included 30 samples from PLWHA General Hospital South Tangerang City, Indonesia. Samples were collected using non-random sampling technique involving accidental sampling. From results study, relationship perceived threat (p-value = 0.001; r 0.515), susceptibility 0.044; 0.345), severity 0.361), benefit 0.643), barrier 0.094; 0.463), self-efficacy 0,004; 0.463) obtained prevention infections. major factor influencing attitudes OI prevention.
